Terrance is an enthusiastic media professional with a strong focus on online community management. Terrance joined the R&R family a little over a year ago filling the role of Social Community Manager housed within the Media and Publishing Department. Terrance attended the University of Nevada, Reno where he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the university’s newspaper and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Strategic Communications and Broadcast News. When time allows, Terrance enjoys community organizing for the Human Rights Campaign an LGBTQ+ advocacy group, enjoying live-music events, talking politics, spending time with his little sister, and cooking.

Hello, my name is Sonia and I am a recent graduate from the University of Nevada, Reno. The struggles I faced through my childhood and while I was earning my degree have helped me better understand how important it is to not only have a community around me but to also keep hope. As an aspiring teacher, I have always wanted to help students find resources and tools to be able to find opportunities for themselves and open new doors.

I am a Mexican- American, born and raised in the state of Nevada. I am a family girl who loves her siblings, parents, and my extended family (including my two dogs). I am very proud of my heritage and passionate about community. So passionate about community that I graduated with my degree in social work and am currently in the process of obtaining my Masters degree so that I can best serve the people around me. 

Hello I am Vanessa and I graduated from ASU in May 2021 with my bachelors in Family and Human Development with a minor in Psychology. I am currently a care provider specializing in ABA therapy. I am currently working towards getting my RBT certificate to learn more about behavior. My interests are in human development, behavior and the sociological impacts on them. I plan on pursuing graduate school and own my own practice to focus on mental health in adolescence.

As a Pakistani woman I understand the realities of our unjust global environments and societies, and I recognize that systemic oppression is a contributor and exacerbates the impact of communal violence. I am hopeful about working to change that reality through transformative justice. As such, work is not merely a job for me; it is my life’s calling. And the only two things that keep me going are my hope for a better world and education to envision it.
