Hopeful Mindsets

Hope Scales

Thank you for your interest in learning more about Hope. The Adult Hope Scale below uses the Snyder Hope Theory and associated cognitive model of hope. Snyder defines hope as “the perceived capability to derive pathways to desired goals and motivate oneself via agency thinking to use those pathways.” By using Snyder’s Hope Theory, we can identify where you are on your hope journey and predict how hope will impact various outcomes in your life, including academic achievement, work success, athletic performance, health, and resilience.
